🗣️ Worker Consultation & Participation

Free ISO 45001 clause 5.4 training with a completion certificate.

Last updated: July 2026

Worker consultation and participation is the single biggest philosophical shift ISO 45001 made over the old OHSAS 18001 standard. This course teaches exactly what clause 5.4 requires — consultation with non-managerial workers on policy, objectives, roles, hazard identification, risk assessment and incident investigation — the real difference between "consultation" and "participation", the practical mechanisms that make it work (H&S committees, worker representatives, safety observation programs, toolbox talks, anonymous reporting), how to remove the barriers that silence workers, and how to demonstrate the whole thing to an auditor. The course is organized into 6 modules, ending with a final exam (pass mark 80%). It is free awareness-level training designed for anyone who needs a practical, working understanding of the topic.
