The SHRM-CP (SHRM Certified Professional) is awarded by the Society for Human Resource Management to HR professionals who operate in operational and tactical roles — implementing policies, delivering HR services and acting as a point of contact for employees. Its senior sibling, the SHRM-SCP, targets strategic, organization-wide roles. This course is independent prep over the public SHRM BASK and is not the official SHRM Learning System or the exam itself.

THE SHRM BASK The SHRM Body of Applied Skills and Knowledge defines everything the exam can test. It has two halves: eight behavioral competencies (how HR professionals act) and HR functional knowledge grouped into three domains — People, Organization and Workplace.

The live exam runs about 3 hours 40 minutes and contains 134 questions: roughly 80 knowledge items (what you know) and 54 situational-judgment items (what you would do). The score scale is 120–200, with 200 to pass — a scaled score, not a raw percentage.
